The Greater Kansas City Psychological Association disseminates psychological knowledge that advances psychological practice and promotes a sense of community for individuals working and studying in the field of mental health.
In principle and in practice, GKCPA values and seeks a diverse membership. GKCPA treats all people with respect and without discrimination and promotes full participation irrespective of gender, gender identity, race, religion, ethnicity, culture, national origin, age, sexual orientation, disability, language, or socioeconomic status. GKCPA implements and adheres to policies and procedures that discourage harassment and other behaviors that infringe upon the freedom and respect that every individual deserves.
GKCPA holds continuing education workshops on the last Friday of most months and an annual conference in the Fall. A wide range of topics and learning opportunities can be found at these events. Membership allows free attendance of workshops and discounted rates for the annual conference.
